PAPERBASE PROVIDES ACCESS TO A COMMUNITY BASED WORKSPACE WHERE ILLUSTRATORS, PRINTMAKERS, AND CREATIVE FREELANCERS HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK IN A CREATIVE SHARED STUDIO.

In addition to being a tangible place for freelancers to come and work, we are building a network of likeminded individuals through open studio events and collaborative projects, like our The Freelancer’s Cookbook zine.

Our Team

Hello! We're two artists who have banded together to create this collective studio workspace for other artists like ourselves here in Baltimore.

Sarah Robbins is an illustrator, a designer, a printmaker, and a crafter. After graduating from MICA in 2013, she founded Bone Black Press, restoring an 8×12 Chandler and Price antique printing press to create her own line of illustrated paper products. At the same time she built a love for visual journalism illustration, observing every detail and translating it into inky drawings.
